The initial idea for The House of the Switchblade Sisters originated in New York
in the early 1990s, but it wasn't until 1995 that the man behind the concept,
Dave Edmond, brought The Switchblade Sisters to London and enlisted the
help of other major talents on the scene at that time. Together with Panic,
Nich Overend and Myka Quinn, they put together the infamously successful
underground club which ran for 18 months. More than a fetish club,
The House of The Switchblade Sisters developed a reputation for being an
avant-garde playground of debauchery and fast achieved cult status.

The House of The Switchblade Sisters was forced to take 'temporary retirement'
when the ubiquitous Dave and his entourage began work on new projects,
including the organisation of a sequence of corporate and private parties
in the America and London's biggest fetish event, the Rubber Ball.

After meeting the multi-talented Jules in early 1999, Dave decided to resurrect
London's coolest club and, together with Panic, they planned the now
legendary six week run at Madam Jo Jo's in the heart of Soho.

DJs included Panic [Pure Industrial, Slimelight, Stunners, Fesh,
Electronics Anonymous, Synthetic Culture], Sir Psycho and Mr.
Wolf [Bound 'n' Gagged] and Rex [The Electric Ballroom].

Noisex flew in from Germany to take center stage for just one night and
London's top performers Vivid Angel, Yella and Paulo shocked and delighted
the audiences with heart-stopping shows. With themes like voodoo, sex
and death and pain and domination, the nights were a runaway success
and everyone involved was sorry to see the season come to an end.

Following an inundation of offers to get involved in other clubs, Dave,
Jules and Panic went into partnership with Nich and Rachel from
Gwendoline to create what is currently London's most popular serious
SM club. Despite Nich and Rachel's sadly missed departure to pursue
new projects the club is going from strength to strength.
